If you are looking for a unique gimik spot, you and the barkada might want to visit 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub in Makati.
This isn't your typical bar. The place brings a simple yet classy vibe with its remarkable nostalgic interiors, has a wide selection of mouth-watering offerings, an awesome stage and audio setup that screams high end concert quality.
I have been to 12 Monkeys on several occasions already and one of the reasons that I frequent the place is to enjoy live music, which the establishment has been well known for this past year.
The bar has been celebrating its week-long first year anniversary. I would not dare miss the chance to be part of this, even more when we learned of the daily performance schedule.
We opted to celebrate with them on its last day. The acts were Sandwich, Kamikazee, Wolfgang, Razorback, Gloc 9 and the ever enjoyable Parokya ni Edgar. Just by the line up alone, it was given that attendees are bound to have an amazing night.
As much as we wanted to have a taste of their best selling Palabok Picha Pie again and other goodies, we forced ourselves not to as we wanted to move around and see what's what in between sets. Tiis-gutom muna! We wanted to monkey around and have a few photos with the celebrities, anyway.
Nubella Boys with Razorback
A digital applause to all the local acts that night for giving us a good time! I'm most especially impressed with Gloc-9 as this was the first time I've seen him perform live. We were all jumping out when he joined PNE on stage for One Hit Combo and Bagsakan. Mapa recording or live, solid mag bitaw ng mga kataga!

Happy happy 1st year, 12 Monkeys. It was a great night, indeed! Thanks to the all star individuals behind this superb music bar. We need more hangout venues like this that supports our talented acts and here's hoping that the bar stays for many many years to come.
