So, me and a couple of friends have been discussing on trying out different buffet restaurants and a lot of well known restaurants came into mind.
There's one in Kamagong, Makati that I've been to before - Charaptor: Charcoal BBQ Bar. Eager to try it out again, I suggested that we have a go at this first!
Charaptor is an eat-all-you-can restaurant where you can grill everything you want. That's right, you cook your own food here and there lies the fun part of dining out here.
Here's the price list. Pretty affordable since you'll surely be having a lot of meat inside, right?
Off to the buffet!
You'll
be greeted with a lot of meat, chicken, beef, fish and some of em I don't know!
Hah! There's your typical BBQ, Isaw and the likes. Best ones for me are the
ribs and the wide selection of seafood. Totally loved the Tuna and Salmon
There's also some pasta,
potatoes, fries, soup and rice to name a few off the other choices.
What stands out here are the
many many options for your sauce!
There's a single grill per
table and can occupy about 4 to 6 persons. Though, I'd suggest getting 2 tables
(if you can) as grilling the food takes forever to be finished, especially
since you will all be grilling at the same time.
There's a nice guide on which
sauce goes best with what food but we're all welcome to mix and match and try
out different combinations!
One minor gripe, though.
Drinks aren't included in their buffet anymore! You'll have to pay an extra fee
to get unli drinks. Oh, well.
Lastly, be wary that the
place is hot - given that a lot of grilling is going on inside - and you'll
smell like smoke once you're done. Bring some change of clothes or perfume if
you must.
Overall, you can't really
judge the quality or tase of what CHARaptor had to offer since, well, you are
in charge of cooking your own meal. I've been here trice already and it's still
a great experience (now I want to have my own grill at home)!
