Hey, gang! KOMIKON is just around the corner! Here are some of the things (wishlist) that I'm looking forward to score at the event!

  • Pangil by Aaron Felizmenio — I instantly loved Aaron's artworks the moment I saw them on my feed. I bought a couple of his prints, asked him to draw in my notebook, but I never knew that he's also written some comic books. Pangil is his most recent work that will be launched at Komikon. I'm surely going to get this one. Hopefully, some of his early publications will be available as well.

  • News Hardcore by Manix Abrera — I have all Manix's Kikomachine Komix and this will be a perfect addition to the collection. Gotta have to get this signed!
  • Local Color by Arnold Arre — Since I so loved Halina Filipina, I was really hoping to buy and complete sir Arre's previous works. And now, a coloring book with his illustrations will be available for the 1st time at Komikon. It's been a while since I colored anything and this will be a welcome treat! Imagine being the colorist of one of your favorite illustrators!
  • Flutterby by Cynthia Arre — If you're getting Local Color by Arnold Arre, then you should also consider in getting his wife's coloring book, Flutterby, which will be launched at Komikon, as well. I have always fancied the artworks of Ms. Cynthia. Her works always gives me the awe-inspiring Filipino vibe. Check out her Instagram account to see what I mean.
  • TRESE by Budjette Tan, Kajo Baldisimo — Surely, you loved their TRESE series! Well, you're gonna love them more now that the 1st ish is in full color! Furthermore, this bears our local language translated by none other than Bob Ong.
  • PRINTS, PRINTS and PRINTS! — I saw a lot of artist prints being previewed at the Komikon Facebook page and I'm highly considering in getting a lot of them! Below is a couple from sir Edgar Tadeo! Pretty exciting!

  • Shirts and the Rest of the Good Stuff — Other than comic books, Komikon will be filled with random items we can feast our eyes on. Booths will have shirts, pins, stickers, posters, art materials and so on. I always make sure to buy a shirt of the events I attended. Below is the official Komikon 2015 design. Neat!

What are your target buys? These are just a few that I gathered online that I'm really eager to get. A lot more will be available so better check Komikon out happening over the weekend at the Unilab Compound, Pasig. Tons of surprises awaits here!
